My path as an artist began when I was the kid who could draw anything and won scholarships to classes at the Houston Art Museum.  Throughout college and after, I explored many media.  Concurrently, I learned to sew for myself and my family.  When my youngest child began middle school, I made my first quilt.  Then I discovered that quilts could be Art.

Although I sometimes produce non-objective pieces, my work tends to be representational.  Nothing captivates me more than the forms and faces found in nature.

I neither trace nor photocopy images to achieve realism.  My forms and faces start with  drawings I have made.
